T.R.R. or Tycoon Railroads is my little layout. It has a surface of 3.25/1.25m and consists of a small secondary line. The tracks are Piko. I made a lot of mistakes(I didn't have a lot of experience). Now i would do it completely different. I was thinking a lot of times to just destroy it and begin from scratch, but the time and effort put into it made me want to finish it. It is still in construction mode(the electric part and the detailing), sadly lack of money and time meant that for aproximatly a year i didn't do anything to it :( But enough talk, i will let the pictures talk....
Construction began in December 2008 with a OSB board(2,95/1.25m) and some lines on it...

The initial plan looked like this...

First thing i did was to built a table/ It was build in 2 segments, for easy transportation. The feet are 1 m tall. Also i placed a 5cm polystyrene base on the OSB plate, because i wanted to have a small river.
Image
After much debate i decided i wanted a turntable on the layout. Because it didn't fit i had to install am small extension to the original plan, 30 cm long. I modified the plan accordingly. In this stage i also divided the plan in Blocks and put the signals on the plan.

The back part of the layout was planned to be in a hill, to hide that awful oval, and give a sense of a long track(if i made the tracks paralleled to the table, it's the least i could do to save some visual effect). Initially i wanted to put a second line inside the mountain where a train could stay and another one would come out of the tunnel, but the line was to short so i had it removed. Next are some more pictures with different stages of work up to this day...

Last winter, because from the lack of grass it looked ugly, i decided to try a small winter landscaping...this is the result with flower for snow...
Image
After the snow melted, the grass began to grow. I know it is a little dark, i don't like the bright grass color...it doesn't look real to me...i prefer a dark gloomy view...

And a small general view...

And some last pictures, with the begging of the detail phase...

I know that that white tracks is ugly, i am going to vacuum it out, it was only a test... Any suggestions are welcomed.
Next topic will be about the layout our club started building at the Modelleisehnbahn factory(As you know Roco and Flm models are produced in Arad, I even worked there during the summer)
All the best!

PS: Si en quelque l'administration du forum considérer que cette topic ne correspond pas à la tematique, s'il vous plaît effacer ils(parce que c'est une réseau normal, ne pas de metrique).
PPS: Hope i written correctly, it is a combination of what i remembered in school from my french and google translate!

Bonjour, and Gday,

Your first intervention on our forum let us hope for a presentation of a metric network called "the green arrow". It would be preferable in the opening of these two posts. Please, feel free to open a new thread about this metric network.

I'm sure that you can understand our position about every thread for Normal Layout.

Please try to post in French.... it is politeness even if your French is awful. Flour is a catastrophie on a layout.
