Bonjour,

Please excuse that I'm writing in English, but my French reading is much better than my written one.

A definite case of cultural deficiency, I agree.

I live near Stuttgart in Germany and spend quite a bit of time in the Aquitaine every year.

This automatically led to an interest in the railroads in that general region. For instance, there was a CFD in the Lot-et-Garonne, which would be worth checking up.

What I also find fascinating is the large number of British and American rolling stock on French lines after WW I an II. This, in my opinion, is quite unique.

So there's a dream (so far) of building a small layout in 1:32 which shows the connection of a standard-gauge line to a sand pit or a mine. I'm busy collecting information (this website is a graet help) and checking for available material.

Because you are living near Stuttgart, can you say to us somes informations about the urban rack streetcar. Is his track narrow gauge or normal gauge ? Is it connected with other streetcars.
Comme vous habitez près de Stuttgart, pouvez donner quelues informations concernant la ligne de tramway à crémaillère. Est elle à voie étroite ou à voie normale ? A-t-elle des raccordements avec d'autres lignes de tramways.
